East Lincoln and West Lincoln Sheriff's Offices Closed to Public

March 31, 2020 - The Adam District Office and Charlie District Office will remain closed to walk-in traffic. The offices are closed due to issues pertaining to the Covid-19 virus.

The Charlie District Office is located at 1889 North Highway 16 in Denver and the Adam District office at 3606 West Highway 27 in Lincolnton, NC.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Main Office at 700 John Howell Memorial Drive, Lincolnton, NC will be open and available to walk-ins. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Temporary
 Suspension of Public Fingerprinting

March 31, 2020 - After further review on March 30, 2020 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will continue the suspension of all fingerprints for the general public with the exception of new concealed carry permit applications. 

Concealed carry permit applications will be taken by appointment only.  Residents can apply for new concealed carry permits by calling the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050 to set up an appointment.  You can also apply by clicking on the "Apply for a Permit" link listed below.

February 24, 2020Law Enforcement and EMS Members Who Lost Their Lives Honored at February 22nd Special Olympics "Polar Plunge"

Lincolnton, NC - The annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics was held on February 22nd at Sally's Y in Denver.  Participants braved the 40 degree water to help raise money for this worthy cause.  The fund raiser exceeded its goal with a $4,400 check from the Knights of Columbus.

This year the Polar Plunge held a special presentation honoring members of EMS and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office who passed away during the last year.  Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Jackson died in a motorcycle crash and Detention Officer Jonathan Gidney was killed in a head-on collision with a tractor trailer in Catawba County. 

Lincoln County Paramedics Destry Miles, Jimmy Perkins, Stacey Montelongo and E. Carole Hutchins were also honored.  Special Olympics officials said officers of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and first responders play a big role in helping to keep the athletes safe during their events.
