The three
rescue squads; East Lincoln Rescue Squad,
Lincoln County Life Saving Crew and
West Lincoln Rescue Squad, are all volunteer agencies and provide technical rescue services to the citizens of
Lincoln County. They also play a vital role in providing back-up ambulance
support to Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services.
In
addition to providing technical rescue services, the rescue squads assist with
searches for missing and lost persons, traffic control, evacuations, debris
removal and
many other essential functions to assist the citizens of the county.
All of the
rescue squads are current members of the North Carolina Association of Rescue and
Emergency Medical Services (NCAREMS)
and are currently pursuing certifications in several rescue specialty areas.
