Lincoln County EMS
believes strongly in the ongoing education of all employees and provides a
nurturing environment where our employees can learn and grow.
All medical training throughout the County is coordinated by
our Training Coordinator, John
Watts, MPH, NREMT-P.

LCEMS provides monthly paid Continuing Education at
our NCOEMS approved, state of the art training facility, located at 720 John
Howell Memorial Drive.
LCEMS Field Training Officers conduct
continuing education monthly at each of the first responder agencies in the county. All
first
responder agencies are trained and equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator
(AED) for the delivery of rapid, live saving defibrillation in the event of a
sudden cardiac arrest. Every use of an AED is reviewed by Mr. Watts as part of our Quality Assurance
program.

All Ambulance Call Reports (ACR's) are reviewed by
an Operations Supervisor for completeness and appropriateness of care with regular feedback provided to the employees.
On a routine basis, all Ambulance Call Reports
are reviewed by Mr.
Watts to discover trends that identify training, administrative,
operational and/or protocol issues.
