foothills of the Piedmont Region of North Carolina bordering on Lake Norman,
and is in close proximity to Charlotte, Shelby, Gastonia, Statesville and
Hickory.
The County consists of 308 square miles and has a
population of over 72,000.
Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services is the primary
provider of Paramedic level Advanced Life Support (ALS) care and
transportation to the citizens and visitors of Lincoln County.
State-of-the-art equipped ambulances and quick response
vehicles allow us to place a well-trained paramedic on the scene of an acute
emergency within 10 minutes of dispatch in most areas of the county.
Lincoln County EMS staffs four ALS ambulances and two QRVs,
24-hours a day, seven days a week and staffs a paramedic level ALS ambulance
from 1000 to 2200 hours daily to handle peak period emergency calls.
Lincoln County EMS offers a variety of challenges to the
paramedic program such as liberal standing order protocols, 12 lead ECG,
extensive pharmacy formulary, and research projects.
