Lincoln County is requesting that qualified firms and organizations submit a Statement of Qualifications to develop a facility space needs and condition assessment and prepare a Building Program for the Jonas Library located at 306 N. Main St. Lincolnton, NC and the Shanklin Library located at 7837 Fairfield Forest Rd. Denver, NC. The purpose of this assessment and plan is to provide analysis and guidance to explore a remodel, expansion or both for the current facilities and existing adjacent properties or construct new facilities. The purpose includes obtaining detailed facilities condition survey and perform a capital renewal analysis. The Building Program should accommodate the growing service, program, facility and technology needs of the Library’s patrons. The County seeks a comprehensive analysis of the facilities (inclusive of surrounding property) and service delivery methods to determine the best solution to move forward and serve the community for the next 30 years.
