Indian Creek Water Line Extension

The project generally consists of rerouting portions of an existing 8” water line from running across private property to Kawai Road. Run approximately 1,400 linear feet of 8” along Kawai Road, tying two (2) existing services to the new 8”. Abandon a portion of the 4” along Kawai Road.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following location: CES Group Engineers, LLP Denver, NC

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, CES Group Engineers, LLP, located at 274 N. Hwy 16, Suite 300, Denver, North Carolina 28037 upon payment of $40.00 for each set. There will be no refund to any party for Contract Documents so obtained. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source.

No pre-bid conference is scheduled. A certified check or cashiers check payable to Lincoln County or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids. The Owner reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish separate, 100 percent Performance and Payment Bonds in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes Section 143-129 and of Article 3 of Chapter 44A. The Performance Bond shall be in full force and effect for one (1) year after the date of final acceptance of the project by the Owner.

The bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or fails to provide the required bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after award of the contract.

Sealed bids for the project entitled “Project #2014-0114-A - Indian Creek Water Line Extension” will be received by Lincoln County until 2:00 p.m. local time, January 14, 2014 at:
