Located within the Charlotte Region, Lincoln
County offers excellent industrial sites and buildings at very favorable prices while
providing quick access to the larger, regional market place. The highway system provides
ease of access to the entire eastern seaboard as well as access to all major US markets.
US 321 connects with 1-85 to the south and 1-40 to the north. 1-77 is just 20 minutes east
of Lincolnton.
Lincoln County is situated 28 miles northwest of Charlotte,
(Mecklenburg County) NC, one of the top ten growth markets in the United States.
Lincolnton, the county seat, is only 20 minutes by truck from 1-85 to the south and
approximately 20 minutes from 1-40 at Hickory, NC to the north. 1-77, the main north-south
interstate serving the Charlotte market is merely 20 minutes due east of Lincolnton. The
Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 45 minutes southeast of Lincolnton and offers
over 500 flights daily, including non-stop service to Europe. The local airport offers
full FBO services with a 5,200 foot paved, lighted runway. U.S. Highway 321 (final leg
complete 6-98) offers north/south travel through central Lincoln County. Other major
highway improvements planned and underway for NC Highways 16, 73 and 150 will bring
Lincoln County to the forefront of areas with great transportation networks.

Lake Norman, the largest water body in the
region, forms most of the County's eastern border, along with the Catawba River. Lake
Norman has 520 miles of shoreline and was created in 1963 when Duke Energy Corporation
built Cowan's Ford Dam on the Catawba River. The Lake provides water enthusiasts with
outstanding recreational and sporting opportunities.
