    For over 25 years, the Lincoln Medical Center (LMC) has played an active role in the health of the entire community. Delivering primary and secondary care, the 101-bed hospital is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation to provide space for expanded services and new medical technology. This expansion enhances LMC's rehabilitation and therapy departments, improves outpatient services (including ambulatory, surgical and diagnostic services and community education facilities), provides easier access for patients and expands the emergency department. Thanks to a Lincoln Medical Center Foundation giving campaign, a comprehensive renovation of the Medical Center's maternity department occurred. The enlarged maternity department offers home-like birthing rooms and an updated nursery featuring state-of-the-art equipment.
    Medical Center features include a 24-hour emergency department, a 24-hour critical care unit comparable to those found in much larger medical centers, and extensive outpatient surgery services. Surgical specialties include laser surgery, reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery and orthopedic surgery, in addition to thoracic and vascular surgery.  Lincoln Medical Center takes seriously its responsibility to improve community health. LMC has used numerous venues to impress upon local residents the benefits of progressive health maintenance. For example, an LMC-funded study identified a need to promote health and fitness. Subsequently, the Medical Center is joining with other business leaders to raise funds to establish a YMCA on the LMC campus. A host of community classes and support groups are sponsored by the medical center.
