Lincoln County's population is approximately 63,780. The County’s rural setting is ideal for raising a family. Consequently, our county is experiencing faster growth in the East Lincoln area around Lake Norman. A total of 20,659 tons or 33% of this waste is diverted from the County Landfill yearly.

LINCOLN COUNTY RECYCLES
RESIDENTIAL CONVENIENCE SITES
Airport, Car Farm, North Brook, Optimist, Owls Den, Tin Mine,
Webbs Chapel, and the Landfill

GLASS  (Clear, Brown and Glass)
Only food and beverage jars are accepted,  Rinse, remove lids, leave labels.
NO plate glass, mirrors, window glass, milk glass, perfume bottles, cups, ceramics, porcelain, drinking glasses, medicine bottles, mouthwash bottles, test tubes or Pyrex cookware
NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINES & PHONE BOOKS
Newspapers (plus the inserts that come in them are accepted. )
NO strings or bags
CANS
Aluminum & steel food & drink Cans ONLY, rinse.
Paper can be left on.
OIL
(used motor oil) Limit 10 gal. Per visit
NO antifreeze or gasoline mixed
CORRUGATED BOXES (CARDBOARD)
Clean, Flattened,
NO wood, plastics or metals
PLASTIC
(soda bottles, milk jugs, clear water bottles)
Remove lids, rinse and flatten.
TIRES
Limit 8 tires per person. All tires must be off  rims,
AUTOMOBILE BATTERIES
(cars, boats, and lawn mower)
Old batteries may be taken to auto parts store, or may be brought to the Landfill.
APPLIANCES
( White Goods)
All appliances are accepted at the convenience sites & Landfill
