(Lincolnton) Lincoln County Emergency Management has located the source of the leaked material into Indian Creek and the South Fork Catawba River.
The contaminant was determined to be animal excrement that breached the containment reservoir on a nearby farm. The amount of spillage is unknown at this time and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality is still investigating the incident. ...
