[ARCHIVED] REDUCTION IN WATER RESTRICTIONS

Lincoln County officials are lowering Conservation Measures from the current Stage 1 Voluntary Restrictions to Stage 0 Drought Watch for customers of the Lincoln County Water System.

NEWS RELEASE
REDUCTION IN WATER RESTRICTIONS
December 1, 2015
Lincoln County, like many other jurisdictions in the North Carolina Piedmont, has experienced significant rainfall over the last several weeks. Due to this increased precipitation, and the continued prudent use of water by the customers of Lincoln County Public Works over the past several months, Lincoln County officials are lowering Conservation Measures from the current Stage 1 Voluntary Restrictions to Stage 0 Drought Watch for customers of the Lincoln County Water System.

We want to thank our customers for the great cooperation we have received over the last several
months as we have worked together in this water conservation effort. We also strongly encourage our water customers to continue to conserve using the actions listed in the VOLUNTARY WATER
CONSERVATION guidelines as outlined in the Lincoln County Water Conservation Ordinance.
Lincoln County follows the CW-DMAG protocol for a Stage 0 Drought Watch. Drought indicators
and demand on our water system will continue to be monitored by the County, and the public will be notified of any future changes. Please review the Schedule of Fees and Charges for Water and Sewer Services (effective September 30, 2015) for rate changes under voluntary restrictions that may affect your water and sewer monthly bill. Rates can be found at www.lincolncounty.org. The CW-DMAG news release is attached for additional details.

Please call Lincoln County Public Works at 704-736-8497 if you have questions.
