The Lincoln County Public Library will be conducting a 3-day “FOOD FOR FINES” drive Thanksgiving week. Monday, November 22nd thru Wednesday, November 24th, patrons may bring in canned or non-perishable food items as “payment” for library fines.
Up to $5.00 can be waived per account at the rate of $1.00 per donated food item. Donations received at Lincoln County Library sites will be used for the BackPack Program which sends nutritious food home to assist Lincoln County school children. The library hopes its patrons will take advantage of this opportunity to reduce the amount of fines they owe while helping out needy families in our own community.
