COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Update

In light of a change in the demand for the COVID-19 vaccine, the Lincoln County Health Department will be switching to a Monday – Friday vaccine schedule to offer first dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to individuals age 18+ beginning on Monday, April 26th.

Lincolnton, NC – In light of a change in the demand for the COVID-19 vaccine, the Lincoln County Health Department will be switching to a Monday – Friday vaccine schedule to offer first dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to individuals age 18+ beginning on Monday, April 26th. Vaccine shipments continue to be constant, but only a few hundred in total. Therefore, only a limited number of appointments continue to be available.

The health department will use an online appointment system for the Monday - Friday slots. Anyone with an appointment will be asked to bring in a print out of their appointment confirmation or proper identification. For people in the eligible priority group that do not have the means for online scheduling, the health department will reserve an allocation that can be made by phone at 704-479-2206.

Those who receive their first dose COVID-19 vaccine at the health department are guaranteed a second dose vaccine. If you make an appointment and are no longer able to keep your appointment, please cancel your appointment through the scheduling system or notify the health department at 704-735-3001 ASAP.
