The reduced allocation will impact the total number of scheduled appointments for the week of February 8-12 and the week of February 15-19.
If you currently have an appointment for that timeframe and already received a vaccine from another venue, please notify the Health department at 704-479-2206 so we can cancel the appointment. This will help us provide our limited vaccines more efficiently to the community. For others who have an appointment, you do not need to do anything further unless contacted by the Lincoln County Health Department.
For anyone who has received their first dose with the health department, the second dose is assured at this time. The state has given us several guarantees that all first doses administered will have the second dose allocation provided.
A notice of clarification around a drive-through clinic in the West Lincoln area recently mentioned in local news outlets. The health department is evaluating the opportunity to conduct another drive-through clinic for county residents. The location would be in the West Lincoln area; however, the date has not been decided at this time. The occurrence of the event is dependent on vaccine availability. The health department has requested a one-time adjustment to our recent allocation in order to offer the drive-through clinic as planned.
Our initial plan was to conduct the drive-through clinic sometime during the week of February 8-12. The event will have an online appointment portal and be limited to a set number of appointments as before. More information will be provided on the status of the event, including location and time in the coming weeks.
