Sealed Bids for the construction of the Hoyle Creek Partial Force Main Replacement may be mailed to the attention of John Henry, Purchasing Agent, at Lincoln County, P.O. Box 738, Lincolnton, NC 28093 or will be received by Lincoln County, C/O John Henry, Purchasing Agent at Lincoln County, 353 N. Generals Blvd., Executive Conference Room, Lincolnton, NC, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read. If social distancing measures are still in place the bid opening will be conducted via WebEx and a URL will be issued via addendum. 28093, until 2:00 PM EST local time on Thursday, October 1, 2020
All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly labeled on the outer most package “RFB-2020-1001 – Hoyle Creek Partial Force Main Replacement.” The Inside and outside package shall include the Contractor’s License Number.
The project consists of supplying, installation, startup and related construction services associated with the Hoyle Creek Partial Force Main Replacement as summarized below:
1. Installation of Replacement Force Main:
Install approximately 1,500 LF of DIP force main from the existing force main station 5+00 to station 20+00.
Install proposed force main parallel to existing force main, approximately 2’ – 3’ off the existing force main, further from the roadway.
Relocate existing ARV at station 11+50 to the new force main. Construct new manhole to accommodate the relocated ARV.
By-pass pumping should not be required; the force main connections will be scheduled when influent flows to the pump station are minimal.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price contract, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
Bidding Documents may be available for download online at www.lincolncounty.org under Bids and Contracts. Documents will be password protected and prospective bidders will need to contact Chuck King to register. Please note that only Registered Plan Holders may submit a bid as a General Contractor. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as portable document format (PDF) files. Printing of the contract documents will be the responsibility of the bidder. No printed documents will be provided by the Issuing Office.
There will be no pre-bid conference.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Lincoln County reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to cancel the Bid Process at any time.
