Building Permits and Applications

This page contains information and links related to the various Building and Land Development Permits and Applications available in Lincoln County.

Applications must be printed and submitted to Building and Land Development either in person, faxed (if you have a current charge account-for contractors only) or by mail. Payment types accepted are cash or check only. No credit or debit cards.

Various Lincoln County Building Permits and Applications:

Fee Schedule for Administrative Services, Land Use and Permits (21 pages 359 kb)
Effective July 1, 2008 - Includes both Residential and Commercial.

  1. Residential Permit Application: To be used for new site built homes as well as modular homes. Also, needed for renovations, additions, and structural alterations.

  1. Commercial Building Permit Application: To be used for new commercial structures or additions/alterations to existing commercial structures. This is a blanket permit that includes framing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work. Commercial permits must be accompanied by five (5) sets of plans.

  1. Accessory Structure Permit Application: For accessory structures with any dimension of 12’ or greater.

  2. Mobile Home Permit Application: To be used when setting up a singlewide, doublewide, or triple-wide mobile home.

  3. Pool Permit Application: This permit covers only the electrical work involved in placement of a pool, unless the pool is near the lake then a watershed permit must also be issued. (see zoning permits for watershed permits)

  4. Cell Tower Permit Application: To be used for cell towers or co-locations.

  5. Commercial Modular Permit Application: to be used for modular structures labeled for commercial use. This would include sales offices, classrooms, etc.

  6. Pier Permit Application: To be used for the construction of piers on the Lake. Two sets of full plans needed - including site plans. No plan Review Fee.

  7. Demolition Permit Application: These are required when a structure is completely razed to the ground and utilities are permanently disconnected.

  8. Plumbing/Electrical/Mechanical Permit Application: For new install, upgrades, decks, re-roofs, and svc change.

  9. Residential Subcontractor Confirmation Sheet: - To be phased out. Subcontractors are now required to sign applications prior to submittal for processing.

  10. Change of Tenant/Occupancy Application: To be issued when a tenant change occurs in a commercial structure.

  12. Compliant Form:  These forms are for building complaints. They may be mailed in or brought into the office personally. These forms are public records and do require a signature.

  13. Erosion and Sediment Control for Single Lot Disturbance of Less than One Acre Application: This form is required to be submitted any time a land-disturbing activity takes place.

  14. Streamside Buffer Form for Single Lot Disturbance: This form is to apply for a disturbance to the 50 foot streamside buffer.
