OVERVIEW

The goal of the Board of Election is to provide the citizens of the county with the best possible services, and to conduct fair, honest and impartial elections in an efficient and economical manner.

The Board of Election Office is charged with the overall responsibility of administering the election process and campaign finance disclosures for all elections held in Lincoln County.

ABSENTEE VOTING ONE-STOP EARLY VOTING  

One-stop early voting starts on Thursday, April 28th, 2022. The State Board of Elections has approved our One-stop plan. Click on pdf to get a copy of the days and hours of operation and locations.

ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL

Absentee by mail starts on Monday, March 28, 2022. The request must be made on approved State request form. There are 2 ways to vote an absentee ballot by mail.
1.)  Print request form and mail to the Lincoln County Board of Elections. Follow directions on request form.

2.) Request online. You can go to the State Board website and complete, sign and submit your request online.

The deadline to request is Tuesday, May 10th, 2022. All ballots must be returned by Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 by 5:00pm. If you have postmarked before 5:00pm on May 17th  you have until Friday, May 20th, 2022 for it to be received in time at the BOE office.

PUBLIC NOTICE  - Board Meeting

The Lincoln County Board of Elections  will hold a scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022  at 3:00 pm.  This meeting will be held at the Board of Elections office, 451 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton.
