Lincoln County Polls will close at 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 6th.  Results will be posted at this website as they are made available to the State Board of Elections Offices from the Reporting Precincts.  To view election information, choose the Election Results page in the Board of Elections section of the Lincoln County Online Services web site.

Lincoln County Public Works Department has issued a press release easing water use restrictions.  All outside water use, limited to one day per week, starting this weekend is now allowed.  More information can be found on the Press Releases page of the Lincoln County Online Services web site and click on Lincoln County Public Works Department.

[New!]Stage 3 Mandatory Water Restrictions...(10/08/2007)
The continued lack of rainfall in the North Carolina Piedmont, combined with continued warm weather, has led the US Drought Monitor of North Carolina to declare that the drought in this area has reached “Exceptional Drought” status. This is the most severe condition in their classification system. Lincoln County hereby announces declaration of Stage 3 Water Shortage Conditions for customers of the Lincoln County Water System.   For more information, please visit the Press Releases page of the Lincoln County Online Services web site and click on the Lincoln County Public Works Department.
